XI EUROPEAN CONGRESS ON PEDIATRIC AND ADOLESCENT GYNECOLOGY
Dear Colleagues,
We are happy to invite you to take part in the XI European Congress on Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology to be held in Saint-Petersburg in June 11–14, 2008. This forum will accentuate the "reproductive health of youth today — the health of forthcoming generation" thesis.
We suggest a wide range of new and practical approaches to many crucial problems of modern youth in such fields as gynecology, andrology, psychology and contraception.
The Congress is organized by the International Federation of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology in cooperation with the Federation of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologists of Russia (RUS PAG). In its realization of the scientific Program, the St.-Petersburg State Pediatric Medical Academy will take part.
We are developing a very interesting scientific schedule including reports and lectures by distinguished specialists; workshops, one-topic symposia, round-tables, satellite conferences, etc. Free exchange of views, original ideas, and nontraditional approaches will be most welcome.
The working languages of the Congress will be English and Russian. Simultaneous translation and technical support services are considered. The International Certification Board of Examiners will operate and those who wish may take an examination, after which they will be awarded a Certificate. The deadline for sending abstracts is prolonged up to March, 31, 2008
The basic topics of the Congress are as follows:
- The reproductive rights of youth;
- Organizing of gynecological and andrological aid to children; first aid, outpatient service, new types of hospitals;
- New diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, significance of medication;
- Standards of gynecological aid to children, including STD;
- Pubescence: normal and pathological; ecological aspects; the influence of extra-genital pathology;
- Physical exercises and sport: acceleration or deceleration;
- Endocrinological aspects or issues of children's gynecology;
- Abortion; adolescent contraception;
- Juvenile obstetrics: positive and negative features;
- Juvenile law: ethical questions, sexual enlightenment;
- Prospects of children's gynecology.

Publishing of abstracts is free. One author or a group of authors may submit not more than two abstracts. Please, send abstracts via e-mail to the address:

The deadline is March, 31, 2008.
Requirements for the abstracts:
- Please, submit abstracts in English;
- Permissible format is Microsoft Word 95\2000\XP\2003; Open Office.org 1xx-2x
- Amount of document: not more than 1 page in A4 format.
- Page margins: left 3.5 cm, upper and lower 2 cm, right 1.5 cm.
- Abstract title, authors' working place and text are to be divided with blank lines. The speaker's name must be underlined.
- Abstract title: please, use Times New Roman font, 14 pt, bold.
- Author's (authors') working place: type, please, in Times New Roman font, 12 pt, italic.
- Abstract text: Times New Roman font, 12 pt, normal.
- Please, don't include tables and diagrams/figures.
- Be thorough and check the text before sending. Negligence, mistakes and non-observance of the rules indicated above exclude a possibility to publish your abstracts.
Registration payment is 300 euro, for students and/or accompanying persons the payment is 100 euro. This payment covers your participation in sessions, visiting exhibitions, obtaining participant portfolio, Congress materials and special literature as well; participating in commencement meeting and farewell meeting, coffee-breaks, lunches, gala dinner, obtaining badge and souvenirs.
